Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Medocrate.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Medocrate, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Medocrate, Inc.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must be a licensed healthcare professional, medical student, researcher, or affiliated institution representative.
- You must provide accurate, truthful information during registration.
- You must not be prohibited from using the platform under applicable laws.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You must notify us immediately at security@medocrate.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You may not share your account with other individuals.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Impersonating another healthcare professional is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination and legal action.
4. Professional Conduct
- All content must be accurate, evidence-based, and professionally appropriate.
- Do not post or share confidential patient information (PHI). Anonymise all case discussions.
- Do not provide individualised medical advice to specific patients on the platform.
- Treat all community members with respect. Harassment, discrimination, and hate speech are prohibited.
- Do not post spam, commercial solicitations, or misleading information.
- Do not upload malware or engage in any activity that disrupts the platform.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant Medocrate a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote your content within the platform. Medocrate's trademarks, logo, platform code, and design are owned by Medocrate, Inc. and may not be used without written permission.
6. Content Moderation
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or our community guidelines, and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these terms. We aim to review flagged content within 48 hours. You may appeal moderation decisions by emailing appeals@medocrate.com.
7. Verification
Doctor verification is carried out in good faith using documents you provide. Verification is not a guarantee of professional standing. You must notify us immediately if your professional licence is suspended, revoked, or otherwise invalidated.
8. Disclaimer of Medical Advice
Content on Medocrate is for professional discussion and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations for any specific patient. Always exercise independent professional judgment.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medocrate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend or terminate your account for material violations of these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to use the platform ceases immediately.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under JAMS rules, except for claims seeking injunctive relief which may be brought in courts of competent jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are notified via email and in-app notice at least 14 days in advance. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
